Richard Hammond and a very special Jaguar XJR
Many aficionados of automotive stories with a good pinch of British humor will recognize him: Richard Hammond, English author and journalist. He became known as co-host of the BBC motoring program Top Gear, which he presented together with Jeremy Clarkson and James May from 2002 until 2015.
After leaving Top Gear (together with Clarkson and May), Hammond joined Amazon Prime Video in 2016 for the new automotive show The Grand Tour.
He is also one of the co-founders of DRIVETRIBE, LIQUI MOLY’s global content partner. The social networking provider shows exciting stories all about automobiles on all relevant social media platforms and also relies on many well-known experts from the industry. This makes DRIVETRIBE one of the most important opinion leaders in the global automotive community.
In a five-part video series, we follow managing director and car enthusiast Hammond as he returns to his beloved Jaguar XJR, which he once deeply regretted selling. The vehicle is bought back from the new owner, but is not yet in the condition he has in mind.
This is where our motor oils, additives and car care products come into play. Together with DRIVETRIBE presenter Mike Fernie, we accompany Hammond on the way to his “dream Jaguar” and demonstrate the quality of our products and services.
The first video has been viewed by over 1.5 million people worldwide on YouTube, and in just a few hours it conquered the Top 20 in the British YouTube charts.
