The solution for direct injection issues like LSPI

Direct injection is an important technological development in the automotive industry. It’s more efficient, improves performance, and compatibility. However, with this technology also brings new problems and issues. One of those such issues is LSPI (Low Speed Pre-Ignition).

LSPI is a pre-ignition event that occurs in gasoline vehicle engines when there is a premature ignition of the main fuel charge. It is most common in certain turbocharged direct-injection vehicles operating in low-speed and high-load driving conditions. LSPI events are random and infrequent, and their effects on impacted vehicles can include very high-pressure spikes, loud knocking noises and sometimes catastrophic engine damage.

To alleviate this problem, LIQUI MOLY has come out with DIJectron. DIJectron is an injector cleaner specially formulated for direct injection engines. It is designed to clean the injectors, while also cleaning the area around the injector tip inside the combustion chamber. Doing so prevents the build-up of debris and deposits that contribute to LSPI.
