Maintaining and refreshing plastic correctly

Proper car care involves more than just driving through the car wash. Some areas both inside and outside require special treatment. This includes, for example, plastic components. Whether the bumper, the inside of the doors or the fittings, with our plastic care products, you can quickly and easily maintain and refresh these areas.

Before you start touching up the plastic parts in the vehicle interior, you should first clean the plastic surfaces. Our engine compartment interior cleaner is ideal for this. It is suitable for dirt from oil, grease, nicotine and other substances. It is also ideal for removing residues from drinks, food and sweets.

Then the plastic deep treatment can be used. As the name suggests, the agent penetrates deep into the plastic and refreshes it. Thanks to its spray function, it is suitable for larger interior surfaces. Think, for example, of a dirty and dusty dashboard or dirty backs of the driver’s and front passenger seats. These can be protected, cared for and freshened up with the Plastic Deep Treatment. And all this in just one step.

How does it work? The care product penetrates deep into the material and keeps it supple. It has an antistatic and dirt-repellent effect. This ensures reliable long-term protection. If you prefer a lotion instead of a spray, you can also use our plastic deep treatment lotion. The gel formulation makes the product suitable for simple and spot application.

Coarse dirt should be removed before the plastic parts can be refreshed and cared for. Our Car Wash Shampoo is suitable for this. It thoroughly cleans and removes dust, dirt and all oily and greasy contamination without leaving any residue.

As with interior cleaning, the special treatment for plastic parts also follows on the outside. UV rays fade them over time, making them brittle and unsightly. Dust, pollen and dirt from exhaust fumes and tire abrasion also affect the plastic parts, as they are distributed in the air and land on the vehicles. Careful maintenance of plastic surfaces is therefore essential. This is where our “as-new” plastic gel comes in.

It cares for, embellishes and treats faded exterior plastics. The gel also provides optimum protection against aggressive environmental influences and UV radiation by forming a very thin and invisible protective layer on the plastic parts. Dirt does not stick directly to the plastic, but lands on the gel layer. Thanks to the hydrophobic effect of the gel, rain simply beads off and immediately removes dirt.

In addition, the gel – like the plastic deep treatment for the interior – penetrates deep into the material and develops its effect without any color pigments. This means that it can be used for all unpainted plastic parts, irrespective of the color, on the vehicle exterior.
