LIQUI MOLY realigning in France

With the acquisition, LIQUI MOLY, a manufacturer of engine oils, additives and car care, is gearing up for an even more successful future on the French market.
Since the establishment of LM France in 2019, LIQUI MOLY products have been distributed in France by the subsidiary as well as the importer LIQUI MOLY France, trading since the 1980s. The goal is for both companies to offer the widest possible range of products from the full-range supplier and to ensure top availability levels of goods, covering passenger cars, commercial vehicles, motorcycles, bicycles and marine industries.
“Thanks to the acquisition, we can now operate under the brand name LIQUI MOLY in France and achieve a uniform appearance. This also means more clarity for our customers. We can now speak with one voice and serve all customer groups from a single source,” André Winterhoff explains as Managing Director of LM France. He will merge, strategically align and lead the two companies. Winterhoff has 25 years of experience in the automotive industry, initially working for Febi Bilstein Group before launching his self-employed business in the automotive parts business. Most recently, he was Managing Director of ABUS France. The previous Managing Director of LIQUI MOLY France, Guy Guth, will be retiring.
LM France will be taking over the importer’s site in Lingolsheim, Alsace, in the Strasbourg metropolitan region, with offices and warehouses as well as 11 employees. “We warmly welcome the new co-entrepreneurs to the LIQUI MOLY family and look forward to working with them. We want to bring the staff of both companies together to form a strong team and shape the successful future of LIQUI MOLY France together,” says André Winterhoff.
With around 40 million vehicles, France is one of the largest passenger car markets in Europe. The company acquisition offers LIQUI MOLY the opportunity for greater market penetration: “With our now significantly larger sales team, which we want to further strengthen in several regions throughout France, we will serve the French market even more efficiently and successfully. We want to further increase brand awareness and dynamically as well as sustainably enhance our market position. We see vast potential for growth for LIQUI MOLY in France,” Salvatore Coniglio notes as the person responsible for the company’s subsidiaries in his role as Managing Director of LIQUI MOLY GmbH.
