LIQUI MOLY closes financial year 2024 with record sales of one billion euros

The German expert for automotive chemicals also achieves new highs in oil and additive production and pays up to 7,000 euros in bonuses to its workforce. The number of employees rises to 1,200 – and underlines the great success and attractiveness of the company.

111,000 metric tons of oil, 24 million cans of additives and 36 million oil containers: For the Ulm-based lubricant specialist LIQUI MOLY, 2024 was a year full of records and strong development in many areas of the company, despite numerous challenges.

Last year’s results were very positive for LIQUI MOLY on several levels. “At the beginning of 2024, we still had problems with supply bottlenecks and high demand. Thanks to our solution-oriented and diligent co-entrepreneurs, however, things went very well, and that all over the world,” summarizes Dr. Uli Weller, Commercial Director of LIQUI MOLY.

With the new record of 1.03 billion euros, sales increased by 12.1 percent compared to the previous year. The company achieved the highest turnover in its home market Germany, followed by the USA.

For LIQUI MOLY, the billion is a ‘magical’ performance mark,” stresses Salvatore Coniglio, who has been part of the management board since September 2024: “We know that this extraordinary success is thanks to our now almost 1,200 employees around the world. For this reason, we decided together with the WÜRTH Group that granting a success bonus of up to 7,000 euros for the workforce was the right thing to do. Everyone truly deserves it,” adds Coniglio.

Managing Director Günter Hiermaier also knows that these performance figures and the positive mood are currently not a matter of course:

“We have made extensive investments to expand capacity at our two sites in Ulm and Saarlouis. This has been worthwhile for everyone, as can be seen in our record headcount of 1,200 colleagues. We are happy and very grateful that we are still on the right track and that we are established as a very good and reliable employer.

The billion-euro turnover mark is an important strategic milestone for LIQUI MOLY and at the same time a great incentive. The globally active full-range supplier of automotive chemicals will continue to consistently pursue its ambitions for international success.
