Cleaning the chain and brakes correctly

The chain is one of the central components of a motorcycle. It must be able to withstand heavy loads when driving. Therefore, suitable lubrication is required on the one hand and correct cleaning on the other. Brakes should also be thoroughly cleaned and freed from dirt and grease films.

These include, for example, drum and disk brake systems, their brake linings and detachable parts as well as brake calipers. The cleaning agent is also suitable for chains on two-wheelers and quads. How do I use the Motorbike Chain and Brake Cleaner?

1. Place a cardboard box under the parts to be cleaned to prevent greasy dirt leaving residues on the floor.
2. Then spray the dirty chain with the Motorbike Chain and Brake Cleaner and allow it to run off.
3. After the solvents have evaporated, the chain will be free of grease and clean. This will take about ten minutes.

Note: If the product is being used on painted brake calipers and components as well as plastics, it should be checked for material compatibility in concealed areas before use.

Remove stubborn dirt

Once the motorcycle chain and brake parts have been cleaned, the next step is to tackle the stubborn dirt on the other areas of the machine. Regular cleaning is important, after all, nobody wants oil and grease residues, tar or other dirt to build up and settle. This is where our Motorbike Cleaner comes in.

How do I use the Motorbike Cleaner?

1. Spray a thin layer onto the vehicle to be cleaned when it is cold. Treat heavily soiled areas additionally with a brush.
2. Leave on for five to fifteen minutes depending on soiling and rinse thoroughly with a hard jet of water.
3. After the vehicle has dried, rub it with a soft cloth.

Note: Do not use Motorbike Cleaner on high-gloss polished, unpainted aluminum or magnesium or unpainted polycarbonate. In the case of repainted parts, check concealed areas for compatibility (staining, paint peeling). However, no paint or plastic damage is to be expected when used correctly. The local regulations of the water authorities must be observed when cleaning.

Effectively clean motorcycle rims

The rims are a special part of cleaning the motorcycle. Experience has shown that many bike riders attach great importance to this. Scratch-free and shiny clean: this is what they should look like. It’s good that our rim cleaner is available for this.  

It can be used to clean aluminum and steel rims intensively and gently at the same time. The product effortlessly removes brake abrasion and other dirt. The rim cleaner reduces stubborn new dirt and ensures a radiant shine and a long service life for the rims when used regularly. The product is pH-neutral and suitable for all types of rims. Caution: do not use on repainted rims.

How do I use the rim cleaner correctly?

1. Spray evenly onto the dirty rims. Note for the 1 l spray bottle: When the trigger is pressed quickly, a wide and flat spray pattern is created, and when the trigger is pressed slowly, a spot spray pattern is created.
2. Leave on for 5-7 minutes, depending on the degree of soiling, but do not allow to dry. For extremely stubborn stains, clean with a sponge or brush.
3. The cleaning process can be visually checked by changing the color and is optimal when the purple color is complete.
4. Rinse the rims thoroughly with a high-pressure cleaner.

Note: Do not use on hot rims or in direct sunlight. For sensitive surfaces, check material compatibility in an inconspicuous place before use.

Polish and seal paintwork

After cleaning comes sealing. After all, cleaning should not be for nothing. The goal: preserve the clean condition of the paint for as long as possible. Our Motorbike Detailer is perfect for this.

It is the perfect post cleaning quick paintwork care. Any remaining light soiling such as dust or water stains are simply removed, and you're left with a beautiful shine. 1. Shake well before use.
2. Spray evenly onto the previously cleaned, fresh surface and wipe with a super soft microfiber cloth. 

Note: The detailer can also be used on damp surfaces, but should not be left to dry.

How do I use the chrome gloss cream?

1. Shake well before use.
2. Then rub the chrome gloss care product onto the corresponding parts with a microfiber cloth using light pressure.
3. Allow to dry slightly and polish with a dry area of the microfibre cloth.
4. For stubborn dirt, repeat the process until the desired result is achieved.

Note: Do not use on hot surfaces or on chrome-plated parts!

How do I use the “As New” plastic?

1. If dirty, clean the parts to be treated beforehand.
2. Shake well before use.
3. Then apply the agent to a soft or Microfiber cloth and apply it evenly and thinly using light pressure.
4. Allow to dry and then polish.
