High-tech low-friction engine oil for the highest demands: LIQUI MOLY Top Tec 4120 0W-40
With TopTec 4120 0W-40, the lubricant specialist LIQUI MOLY offers an innovative low-friction engine oil that has been developed to protect modern petrol, diesel and hybrid vehicles in the best possible way and optimize their performance. It is specially tailored to the requirements of Mercedes-Benz engines.
“TopTec 4120 0W-40 was primarily designed for the Mercedes-Benz M 254 Plug-in Hybrid engine, which absolutely requires this oil,” says Oliver Kuhn, Deputy Head of the Oil Laboratory at LIQUI MOLY.
The additive technology used is optimized for hybrid vehicles: “The combustion engine of hybrid vehicles often runs when cold, so that the oil does not reach high temperatures. This can lead to problems due to moisture ingress through condensation. Accordingly, the oil offers optimum flow characteristics at an oil temperature of around 50 to 70 degrees Celsius and counteracts the problems caused by water and fuel ingress,” explains Kuhn.
Top Tec 4120 0W-40 has MB 229.52 approval from Mercedes-Benz. Among other things, this standard requires high fuel savings as well as high wear and corrosion protection from engine oils. Requirements that the new oil from LIQUI MOLY meets.
