Field Application Specialist (M/F/D) - Northeast

LIQUI MOLY USA is seeking an experienced candidate to fill an important new position as Field Application Specialist in the Northeastern U.S sales area.  Join our team and you will collaborate with a team of people who are upbeat and think positively about the future and about life. 

In this position, you will actively participate in our company's continued sales growth in all markets.  This role has a technical training responsibility centered around product training and product application guidance to help increase sales for our LIQUI MOLY distributor partners as well as their customers. 

This opportunity is also responsible for training new LIQUI MOLY field sales personnel in our lubricants, additives, and other product categories throughout all vehicle segments. Additionally, updated technical training of existing fellow employees is an additional assignment expectation from the Field Application Specialist role.    

LIQUI MOLY is a global leading manufacturer of OE-type high-quality motor oils, additives, and other lubricant products.  Founded in 1957 with headquarters in Ulm, Germany we have supplied the demanding German marketplace with innovative, quality oil and additive products for decades. Our automotive, power sports/marine, and industrial markets came to the US in 1992.  Our past 10 years we are fortunate to have significant sales growth.  

To continue our successful growth, we want to expand our field application training team. This opportunity provides a competitive salary range of $82,000 - 90,000, D.O.E., plus a performance bonus.  Included too, is travel expense reimbursement, a laptop computer, iPhone, basic internet expense, 401K plan, health insurance, HSA plan, paid vacation, and holidays.

Area of activity:

  • Conduct customer training to include technical product application knowledge to customers through on-site product application demonstrations to help increase sales.
  • Publicly speak and conduct formal training presentations in a classroom setting of small to medium sized groups of LIQUI MOLY customers and their employees.
  • Provide onboarding technical training for new LIQUI MOLY sales employees. 
  • Execute a continuous product training schedule to keep veteran salespeople up to date with the latest technical information and products.  
  • Work cohesively with all company departments to best use their resources to increase all RSM’s technical knowledge that grows their sales success.
  • Attend various industry shows/events to engage the attendees and answer technical questions while teaching them about our product functions and features.
  • Assigned Regions:  Northeastern USA (Relocation program not available)

Requirements

  • Job experience with a proven track record working in a technical position relative to a mechanical environment ideally in the automotive/light vehicle industry. 
  • Must have well rounded and positive people skills with a technical aptitude to train and educate others enthusiastically yet patiently.
  • Must have proficient communication skills of speaking and listening, equally well.
  • Adept at writing concise and informative reports that are clearly understood. 
  • Strong organizational skills that results with efficient time management as well as cost effective travel planning. 
  • Travel periodically into all assigned field markets to work to conduct customer training and demonstrations as requested by field sales. 
  • Self-motivated to work and plan independently to best support and educate customers and other LIQUI MOLY colleagues.
  • Periodic weekly overnight will be expected. Occasionally applies to weekends.

Must haves:

  • Legally able to work in the USA with no restrictions.
  • Clear a background check.
  • Have a current valid driver license with a clean record.
  • Ability to use MS Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, and Power Point)
