Application
Connect the JetClean Tronic III Pro taking into consideration the safety instructions (please read the owner’s manual and operating instructions carefully)! Fuel system cleaning: Connect the feed and, where applicable, return hose of the cleaning device to injection system of the vehicle to be cleaned using the corresponding hoses and adapters from the scope of delivery or the accessories available as an option. Connect the feed and return lines of the vehicle tank with a fuel hose. On vehicles without a return line, connect the fuel feed with the optional accessory JetClean Fuel Hose Kit (part no. 29491). Using the funnels included in the set, depending on the vehicle (gasoline = blue, diesel = red), release or open any existing tank block. Then guide the end of the fuel hose into the tank filler neck. Depending on the engine type, completely fill the right or left tank of the JetClean Tronic III Pro with Pro-Line JetClean Fuel System Cleaner or Diesel Injection Cleaner cleaning fluid. The fuel filters of the JetClean Tronic III Pro are to be changed after no later than 100 cleanings or one year. In the menu select the corresponding cleaning option based on the engine and injection system and start the cleaning program. Then start the engine. Check that all connections are leaktight and that no lines make direct contact with a heat source or rotating parts. Bring the engine up to the required speed while cleaning. Using the Profi Accelerator and Brake Pedal Adjuster (part no. 29492), available as an option, the time required for cleaning is reduced because staff is not permanently bound (observe the notice below!). After the cleaning time has expired, end the cleaning process and turn off the engine. Return all lines and connections on the vehicle to their original state and check for leaks. Intake system cleaning: Depending on the engine type, add one can of Pro-Line JetClean Gasoline or Diesel Intake System/Valve Cleaner (part no. 21947 = gasoline, part no. 21948 = diesel) to the center tank of the JetClean Tronic III Pro. Depending on the vehicle, secure the optionally available JetClean Intake System Cleaning Kit (part no. 29493) as near the throttle valve as possible or, if necessary, secure an adapter from the JetClean Tronic III Pro Particulate Filter Cleaning Kit (part no. 29494) in place of the pressure sensor in the intake pipe. Connect the feed line of the device to the intake system cleaning tool. Select the menu for gasoline/diesel intake system cleaning. Start the engine and start the cleaning process at the device. The timing of the spraying duration and break can be changed slightly depending on the displacement. Bring the engine up to the required speed while cleaning. Using the Profi Accelerator and Brake Pedal Adjuster (part no. 29492), available as an option, the time required for cleaning is reduced because staff is not permanently bound (observe the notice below!). After the cleaning time has elapsed, end the cleaning process and allow the engine to run for another 2 – 3 minutes. Then switch off the engine. Return all lines and connections on the vehicle to their original state and check for leaks. Empty the center tank of the JetClean Tronic III Pro using the ball valve. The cleaning fluid that was not used can be reused during the next intake system cleaning. Perform a test drive and then read out the fault memory and delete, if necessary. Particulate filter cleaning: Add one can of Pro-Line JetClean Particulate Filter Cleaner (part no. 21949) in the center tank of the JetClean Tronic III Pro. Depending on the vehicle, secure an adapter from the optionally available JetClean Tronic III Pro Particulate Filter Cleaning Kit (part no. 29494) upstream of the particulate filter, as near to it as possible. Connect the feed line of the device to the particulate filter cleaning tool or to a suitable hose. The particulate filter should be warm during the cleaning process. Select the menu for particulate filter cleaning. The cleaning fluid that was not used can be reused during the next particulate filter cleaning. After cleaning, allow the vehicle to run outside for approx. 5 minutes at an increased speed (1,500 – 2,200 rpm). Initiate a forced regeneration with the engine diagnosis or start a regeneration run. After regeneration, determine the filter saturation and read out and delete the fault memory, if applicable.Other information
We would like to point out that the fitter should not move too far away from the vehicle during cleaning applications with the JetClean Tronic III Pro even with the use of the optional accessory Profi Accelerator and Brake Pedal Adjuster (part no. 29492) in order to be able to intervene quickly in the event of an uncontrolled increase in speed, thereby preventing possible damage to the vehicle.
